Subject: Addition of Entertainment centre (HD)

I've posted some photos of the "Entertainment Centre" my husband has just finished building on top of the refrigerator in our HD.  It features a flat panel TV, mounted on a movable arm to enable viewing from any point in the Rialta.  It also holds a DVD player, a VCP (which plays but doesn't record tapes), a combination radio and CD player, storage for videotapes, DVDs and CDs, and an inverter.  There is still room to turn the antenna handle and reach the electrical receptacles.  There is even a little room remaining on top of the refrigerator to place items that are on their way into, or out of, the fridge.

It is built of 3/4 inch pine finished with satin Varathane^® that fits with the maple finish of the Rialta wood.

Radio and CD player and storage -the radio and CD sits on the refrigerator top.  Shelves hold tapes and CDs.  An inverter is on the Rialta shelf at top right of photo.	TV facing back of van - a purchased metal arm allows the TV to be positioned to face any direction from front to back of the van.  It is fixed to the wood face of the center.	TV facing front of van - the TV wall mount (Sanus Systems Model VM2S) can be adjusted to allow the TV screen to angle downwards (position not shown here).

Support and wires - DVD resting on wood support from surface of refrigerator top.  VCP on existing Rialta shelf.  Plenty of room left to operate antenna and plug things into electrical receptacle.	Pine structure - made a template to fit wood to ceiling.  Used 3/4 inch pine finished with Varathane.  Cheaper and easier to work with than maple and a good match.	Travel position - DVD(  lower) and VCP (upper) are inserted thru face of the center.  DVD is supported on wood on fridge top, VCP on rear shelf of the Rialta.
